US government may break up Google

This is surprising that American authorities have turned their sights on Google. According to Bloomberg, the White House is considering splitting up this conglomerate.
Right now, the US Department of Justice is looking into forcing Google to sell off parts of its business. The matter will be reviewed in court.
Bloomberg reports that the proposals are outlined in a special document, prepared by Judge Amit Mehta, after Google was accused of holding "an illegal monopoly in the search market." Now, the company is being taken to the second phase of the legal proceedings. It is possible that these measures will be implemented after the damage compensation phase.
The document specifically looks at “behavioral and structural remedies to prevent Google from leveraging products like Chrome, Play, and Android to gain an unfair advantage in Google Search and related products.” Given the current situation, many believe breaking up the tech giant is the right move.
Earlier, reports suggested that if this scenario plays out, Google would be forced to spin off divisions responsible for developing its operating system and browser. However, such a split could have serious consequences. It is possible that these actions could lead to the collapse of one of America's largest companies.
Google's leadership criticized these radical government ideas, warning of significant unintended consequences for consumers, businesses, and America's competitiveness. Lee-Anne Mulholland, the corporation's vice president, said the proposed plan "goes far beyond" the court's decision in August.
