The Russian Investment Forum, held in Sochi at the Olympic Park Main Media Centre on 13-15 February 2019, became the place of signing 567 agreements and letters of intent totaling 968.033 billion rubles. More than 8 thousand people visited the platform, among whom were members of 65 foreign delegations.
The Forum is guided by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. According to him, “national projects are a single matrix” into which the Russian authorities try to “fit the life of the entire country”.
In addition to the traditional topics for the Forum such as regional development, the discussion was complemented by new issues (social entrepreneurship, investment in charity, healthy life expectancy, leading practices of social and economic development).
Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF)
From April 7th to April 20th, one of the largest Russian economic forums was held in the Mriya Resort hotel. The main topic of the YIEF-2019 was “World. Russia. Crimea. New Global Reality”.
This year, the Forum has celebrated its first anniversary, thereby strengthening its status as an effective international platform for discussions on current issues of the social and economic development of Russia and the world. High-level government officials of the Russian Federation, international experts, powerful international and Russian businessmen and economists, as well as representatives of major business organizations, attended the business part of the event. Eastern Economic Forum (WEF)
The Eastern Economic Forum established by the President of the Russian Federation has been held in Vladivostok since 2015. In 2019, the discussion of key issues of the world economy, regional integration, the development of new technologies and industrial sectors, as well as the global challenges facing Russia and the world community is scheduled for September 4-6.
The main topic of the anniversary meeting will be the National Program for the Development of the Far East dedicated to the Eastern vector of Russian foreign policy. Great importance will be attached to the incorporation of the Far East into the system of economic relations in the APR, as well as the establishment of business contacts with ASEAN, a key integration group of actively developing countries in Southeast Asia.
St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)
SPIEF has been held since 1997. Over the past 20 years, it has become the world's leading platform which allows business people to support offline communication and solve key economic issues of today. The business program of the XXIII SPIEF took place on June 6-8, 2019 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“Setting the agenda for sustainable development” was the key topic of the event. Participants included over 17 thousand people and about 1,800 companies from 75 states, a majority of whom was senior executives.
Among the honored guests of the Forum were Prime Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia, President of China and Bulgaria, as well as UN Secretary-General. On June 7, they, together with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, spoke at the plenary meeting.
